Paramedics & EMTs are Finding Something Better in Bakersfield
Reimagining
Pre-Hospital Care
Working with Kern County EMS, we're taking a fresh approach to deliver pre-hospital care with tools like Tele911 and a first responder fly-car program reserving our paramedics for true medical emergencies.
Ideal Work/Life
Balance
Our Metro crews alternate 3 and 4-day work weeks (12-hour shifts), giving them more flexibility and shorter work weeks. Rural station personnel works two 48-hour rotations (two on/two off), then after their third rotation, enjoy eight consecutive days off.
People
Centric
We work to ensure our paramedics and EMTs have the equipment, support, and opportunities to do what they do best every day, including a pro-active wellness program!

We Will Help You Through the Relocation Process
Not sure how to go about getting your CA State Licensure? Our courteous HR staff can guide you through the process along with any other relocation questions that you might have. Current NREMT-Ps need only apply for CA State Licensure, including a DOJ Fingerprint Card and verification from your current state EMSA. An Ambulance Driver Certificate would need to be acquired prior to starting work but after the interview process.

What’s it like to be a Hall Ambulance Paramedic or EMT?
It starts with putting on the iconic Hall Ambulance uniform with the orange, white, and blue epaulets signifying you are an EMS professional ready to tend to your patient's needs.
Our modern fleet of ambulances painted in their signature Omaha Orange with a checkerboard blue safety pattern commands attention. Their interior patient suites are outfitted with details that can only be appreciated by those paramedics who have worked in other systems. Our crews value having great equipment and a maintained fleet which allows them to focus on delivering exemplary patient care.

For fifty-two years, families have entrusted Hall Ambulance to be there when a loved one falls victim to sudden illness or injury and to provide exemplary patient care based on our founder’s beliefs of how to tend to our customers.
In 2020, the National EMS Museum and California Ambulance Association named Harvey L. Hall as one of 17 native Californians responsible for shaping EMS in the United States.
Hall Ambulance is proud to carry forward Mr. Hall’s ideals while re-imagining the delivery of pre-hospital care in our communities.
